The Story

  • Natural basket on strong wire frame
  • Pre-lined and includes galvanised chain
  • Made from natural rattan which gives a rustic appearence
  • Holds approximately 8 litres of compost
  • Strong and durable basket

The Gardman rustic hanging basket is made from natural rattan. Pre-lined, it includes a galvanised strong chain. The strong and durable basket is capable of holding approximately 8 litres of compost due to its strong wire frame. With a diameter of 35cm X 16cm, its rustic colouring is suitable for any garden. Flowers provide valuable colour and hanging baskets can provide it in summer and winter. If your hanging basket is for the summer months the best time to plant is from April onwards. They will need protection against frost until the middle or end of May and if you have a greenhouse it is usually easier to start planting them in there. For a winter hanging basket, you would normally plant hardy plants and it best to plant those around September and October. Once the basket is planted check them every day in Summer and water them always unless the compost is wet. In winter they don't tend to dry out as quickly but they still need regular checking as your aim is to keep the compost moist and not soggy.
